These terms govern your use of WhisperBud, the on-device dictation app for your Computer, and the WhisperBud website. WhisperBud is operated by CosmicFusion Labs Private Limited, a company registered in India ("CosmicFusion Labs", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using WhisperBud, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The service
WhisperBud lets you hold a key, speak, and have your speech turned into clean, formatted text. Transcription and formatting run locally on your Computer. We may offer free and paid plans; features and limits depend on the plan you choose.
2. Your account
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@whisperbud.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use WhisperBud for any unlawful purpose or to violate anyone's rights.
- Reverse-engineer, copy, resell, or redistribute the app except as allowed by law.
- Attempt to bypass plan limits, licensing, or security measures.
- Use the service in a way that disrupts or harms it or other users.
4. Plans, billing, and renewals
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis unless stated otherwise. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices may change, and we will give reasonable notice of any change.
5. Refunds
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@whisperbud.com and we will review it. See our Refund Policy for full details.
6. Your content
Your dictation is processed on your device and stays yours. We do not claim ownership of anything you create with WhisperBud, and we do not access your audio or transcripts.
7. Intellectual property
WhisperBud, including the app, website, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app; they do not transfer any ownership to you.
8. Third-party components
WhisperBud may rely on third-party software and services (for example, sign-in or payment providers). Your use of those components may be subject to their own terms.
9. Disclaimer
WhisperBud is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that transcription will be error-free or that the app will be uninterrupted. You are responsible for reviewing dictated text before relying on it.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WhisperBud and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using WhisperBud at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm. On termination, the license to use the app ends.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
